The mosir project is exploring and practicing a way to archive knowledge related to earth and planetary sciences. We regard not only the "results" (figures and texts) compiled as papers, but also the "process" leading up to the results, the "discussions" with participants, and the "understandings" generated from the discussions as knowledge. We accumulate, organize, and publish them on the computer/internet.
"mosir", read as "mosiri", means "earth" or "world" in Ainu language (wikipedia). It was chosen just by the sense of the word. It is not an acronym for anything. |
MOSIR is supported by epnetfan, Department of Cosmology, Hokkaido Univ., itpass, Department of Planetology, Kobe Univ., GFD-Dennou Club, Center for Planetary Science (CPS).
