Abstract |
We observed the peculiar galaxy NGC 2782 known as a merger remnant using six band-pass filters (3 to 24 micron) of the AKARI Infrared Camera (IRC). The results show the flux distribution in the S11 (11 micron) band, which is an indicator of the PAH sources, is the same as the dense HI region. It is also found that the flux distribution in the L24 (24 micron) band corresponds to the H II region at the central region. In this talk, we will discuss the dust properties and the interstellar radiation field in the peculiar galaxy NGC 2782. |
