Abstract	Data assimilation systems have been developed as a part of numerical weather prediction originally. For application of data assimilation for physical oceanography, there are some problems which arise from the difference between atmosphere and ocean physics. In the talk, I will introduce the feature of ocean data assimilation developed by our group.
