| Abstract |
How should we recognize the nature of science and technology at present day? The issue will be discussed from the view point of risk and crisis management. People's vague understandings about the nature of science, and technology seem to increase social risks and crisis. This may be one of the causes which inhibit people's appropriate responses against risks and crisis. Example situations can be observed in the case of predictions by geosciences where uncertainty is inevitable. In this presentation, some early hypotheses will be presented. Then the presenter will deepen the argument thorough discussions with the participants. |
