| Title: | "A next-generation AI processor and its applications outside AI" |
| Abstract: |
PFN, in collaboration with U.S.-based Tenstorrent Inc., was awarded an NEDO Post-5G (2) f8 project, “Design and Development of an xPU Implementing Photonic-Electronic Convergence Technology [GX],” and will begin developing a next-generation AI processor.
This processor will be the third generation of the MN-Core L series, which achieves extremely high memory bandwidth by using 3D-stacked DRAM. In this talk, I give an overview of the MN-Core L series and its software development environment, introduce the upcoming processor, and discuss its potential applications to simulations. |
| Keywords: | AI processor, stacked DRAM, HPC applications |
