"International trends of Open Science and Open Data, and current status in Japan"

| Abstract: |
The international trends of Open Science and Research Data Sharing will be introduced especially in aspects of discussions of national-level science policies and potential change of research ecosystems (research life cycle including research institutions, science-related ministries, funding agencies, journal publishers and scientific communities) and cultures therein. Also the current status and future potential changes in Japan will be shown of governmental policies, research data infrastructures, as well as data management in research, journals and scientific societies. Scientists' discussions including incentives and rewards about research data sharing and preservation as well as funding and institutional actions will be important to prepare their voices and philosophy to be communicated with other sectors for better research and science in a sustainable way.
