In this seminar, I will discuss how the superrotation of the Venusian atmosphere is maintained. After setting a problem, results from the Akatsuki spacecraft is presented. This talk is mainly based on the recent publication Horinouchi et al (2020) and its online supplement available at https://science.sciencemag.org/content/368/6489/405/
