Title: On the challenge of simulating the early Mars environment(s) with climate models and lab experiments
Abstract: There is now compelling evidence and widespread agreement that liquid water flowed on the surface of early Mars, at least episodically. In my presentation, I will review the recent efforts - using sophisticated 3-D Global Climate Model simulations as well as laboratory experiments - we have made with my colleagues at the LMD (Paris, France) to better constrain the environment of early Mars, at the time liquid water was flowing on the surface of Mars.
Keywords: Early Mars, climate, general circulation model, laboratory experiment
