title: Fluctuation of a glacier in Mongolian Altai by field observations
abstract: Glaciers shrinkage are reported in the world recently. There are a lot of glaciers in the world. However, limited number of them have directly observed their mass balance. This study focus on the glacier which is not estimated ever, which contribute to the accurate estimate of glaciers volume fluctuation. Many glaciers are in Altai mountain range which runs from Russia to China through Mongolia . Glaciers in Mongol Altai has not researched ever. The observation started in 2003 and mass balance of the glacier was obtained by the extensive field research held in 2008. And, the characteristics of the glacier has revealed by comparing to a glacier in Russian Altai which has been observed for more than 50 years. Observation method and latest research result will be introduced.
