Kobe University and Preferred Networks (PFN) Inc. have developed the MN-Core series as an accelerator (processor) considering AI applications.In addition, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) is conducting a research project on the successor supercomputer to Fugaku (Research on Next Generation Computing Infrastructure, also known as Post-Fugaku FS), in which the Kobe University team is conducting research and development and maintenance of MN-Core for use in general purpose computing (HPC) applications.In this presentation, we will introduce the features of MN-Core and the image of future processors and supercomputers including MN-Core, including the development status of the programming environment (programming interface and compiler) that the presenter is working on in the Post-FS project.In addition to the introduction of MN-Core itself, peripheral information such as the community, dissemination status, and related projects will also be presented. |
