Abstract |
Since its beta release in 2016, Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) has been gaining popularity as an environment for using Linux commands on Windows. However, how WSL1 and WSL2 function as a "Subsystem" on Windows has not been clearly organized and disclosed, and people who are familiar with the Linux environment are often troubled with different behavior from what they expect when they try to use them as their main environment.
In this talk, I will describe the configuration of WSL1 and WSL2 at the time of presentation, and will try to explain some of the common problems in the current state of WSL1 and WSL2. |
