Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) is a good tracer of distribution and physical properties of the interstellar dust because PAH has distinct emission bands in the near-infrared region. We analyzed the spectral data of the interstellar diffuse emission obtained with the low-resolution prism spectroscopy mode on the AKARI Infra-Red Camera (IRC) NIR channel in (2.0-5.0 um) wavelength region. As a result, a good correlation of the 3.3um PAH band emission to the thermal emission from the interstellar dust and column density of the neutral hydrogen was confirmed. |
